Fanny Trollopes Bistro
This establishment's name honours a Brazilian immigrant who livened up the streets of Finnieston in the 1920s with her colourful attire and maraca-fuelled dancing – a sight to behold in those days, we imagine! Today the renowned bistro is praised by diners for its tantalising local cuisine and warm, welcoming atmosphere. Limited space means you would be wise to book in advance as there is hardly enough room to swing a cat – though why anyone would want to torture an animal in such a manner is a mystery to us. To Itchy's delight, Fanny's offer a bring-your-own-bottle option, meaning you don't have to be without your favourite plonk while you enjoy perfectly cooked Scottish meats and seafood, served by affable staff who are more than happy to help when it comes to ordering.
