Torres Tapas
Torres's staff wear name-badges. The badges, coupled with an uncompromisingly friendly welcome, made Itchy fear we were in for another sloppy round of inauthentic tapas. But the staff's warmth is as real as the Catalonian and Andalusian landscapes on the red walls, and this mix of Spanish locale is reflected in the extensive menu. Portions are large, food is delicious (Itchy recommends king prawns sautéed in olive oil, garlic and fresh chillies) and service is quick. Sadly, the speedy table turnaround and small booths do nothing to allay the feeling of being a mere grain of rice in the grand scheme of the paella.
