Coia's Cafe
Now into its third generation of Coia management, this east end eatery has been in the family for eighty years. The doddery waiters may look as though they've been working the tables since opening day but there's nothing stale about the menu; its many incarnations mean it now features steak pie and mince and tatties alongside bruschetta, soup, pizza and pasta. Worthy of special mention is the ice-cream, made strictly to the Coia recipe since 1928 and scooped out of a rotating chiller.
