Where the Monkey Sleeps

This pretentiously named sandwich bar near Blythswood square services the working stiffs in Glasgow's financial district, and doubles as a doss house for grizzly bicycle couriers. The food is great though, with good base ingredients livening up the menu instead of the stupid combinations or ghastly novelties many of its West End contemporaries resort to. However, cramped service area and ridiculous names for the fillings are something of an annoyance. Still, if you work in the area then you should eat here before they get all corporate. Like you.
