Otto Bar and Grill
Otto, on Byres Road, used to be called Rubaiyat, which was a bit of an old man's pub with a friendly atmosphere. Newly named, it's reinvented itself in a wine bar style, without the pretence but with the atmosphere. Otto doesn't have a ”type“ of customer; we spotted moshers, professionals, students, normal people... the food probably helps. Sourced locally and with decent portions, you could have a meal and hang around afterwards without feeling you have to move on to a bar/club.
