Carling Academy
The Carling Academy is undoubtedly at the beating centre of Glasgow's music scene. The best of indie, electro, heavy rock, r 'n' b, motown and pop have all graced the stage. Although sometimes lacking a euphoric atmosphere, due mainly to its high ceiling, the academy definitely holds its own in a city renowned for its unforgettable gigs. The seating sections on the lower level and the balcony offer a safe haven for those trying to recapture their youth, while the standing area on the lower level offers plenty of room for the nu-ravers to have at it with glow sticks in hand.
