Grassroots Café
Grassroots is probably Glasgow's best-known vegetarian café – good job it's a great one. The diverse menu carries such delights as Thai curry, burger and chips and even pasta from the specials board. The beer and wines are organic and the coffee is – not surprisingly – Fairtrade. This place has charm and a feel that attracts an eclectic custom both day and night, with an open, bar-style kitchen adding a lively touch to the atmosphere. It's not huge and demand can outstrip tables, so it's probably better to book.
