Pavilion Theatre
With a line-up of tribute acts, variety shows and the odd comedy gem, the Pavilion is all at once: camp, nostalgic, cheesy and utterly charming. Where else would you find American wrestling, the Backbeat Beatles and Mrs Brown all within the same eclectic week? You could almost hear the joint tut of disapproval from Glasgow's trendier theatres – those snobbish hives of snooty thespy types – when the cast of 'We'll Meet Again' begun their George Formby tribute. No matter anyway, by that stage, the performers – and certainly the audience – were all having far too much fun to even care.
