The Magnet

It may be a little bit out of the way on Glasgow's Southside but it's worth the extra few quid in the taxi. It's a mixture of Italian and Scottish cooking and worth the journey just for the lobster ravioli. Really friendly staff, bright interior, decent prices and the perfect place to take your mum/gran/anyone you love when it's their birthday and you're forced to make an effort. And if you play your cards right you can get them to pay for their own birthday treat.
