Whistler's Mother
Whichever clever young design consultant thought up the name for this place had clearly never seen the masterpiece in question. The painting is a sombre study of the artist's mother in shades of black and grey. Meanwhile, in rainy Glasgow, it has become a bright, modern bar which thinks it's continental but manages to be completely lacking in atmosphere. The original painting hangs in Paris and we know where we'd rather be. You're much better off just forsaking the bar and sticking to their relaced and pleasant café instead.
