The City Merchant

When you're looking for some tasty fish that's not wrapped in newspaper, it's hard to beat City Merchant for a good catch. We sat down to a cosy candlelit room, large glass of wine, and fresh organic cod. The pre-theatre menu lets any old punter dine like King Neptune (and you don't even have to really go to the theatre), and there are luxurious seafood platters for the wealthy old shipping magnates among us. That's 'us' in the broadest possible sense – we'll have to make do with the west coast langoustines appetiser.
