Bar Budda
Budda 'on the hill', as it's known, sits pretty on a roundabout in Glasgow's Southside. It's a cosy pub and restaurant attracting mainly locals, though if there's a concert on at the nearby stadium, the sardine-o-meter is turned up. Food is admittedly quite basic, covering standard fare from curry to burgers, but it's done well and there are some more adventurous Thai dishes thrown in to keep the more discerning customers sweet. It's delicious, value for money and the vibe's difficult to top - no ifs, no Buds.
