Tramway Theatre
The old tram shed has come a long way since facing demolition in Glasgow's grim 1980s. An impressive array of international and Scottish artists exhibit and perform here. Okay, so there's the occasional duffer. This is the place after all that commissioned Douglas Gordon's '24-hour Psycho', which aimed to reveal, by slowing down Hitchcock's flick to last an entire day, that the film was really quite creepy. Yeah, I think we'd already got that. Full marks for effort, however, and more often than not the events hit the mark. The Hidden Gardens out back are perfect for pre-cultural fix lounging, or indeed worth a visit on their own.
