Glasgow Botanic Gardens
Better than Kelvingrove Park. Fact. Glasshouses for when the weather 'turns', which are handy for a cheap (ie free) romantic stroll. Particularly rewarding in high summer is having a game of 'Obstacle Frisbee' on the gardens' main lawn. This involves at least two people throwing the plastic, disc-shaped bundle of fun from one end of the grass to the other, whilst 600 lounging students, office workers and parkbenchers duck and protest. The lower your throw, the more points you get. The winner is bought a bag of crisps in their flavour of choice.
