The Slug and Lettuce
It's nice when a chain–bar manages to get a little bit of individuality about it. The Slug and Lettuce's open–plan kitchen looking over you helps, as does the impossibly high roof and the various little separate rooms near the front. Best of all, a daily specials board feels like it's properly seasonal and, well, special – not just a 'what needs to be used up today?' affair. Because of its proximity to suit–land the office junior brigade take over at night time, but during the day it's a great choice.
