Bar Buddha
The fat golden fellow in the window has spread his seed over the last few years, with Buddhas in the West End, Southside and up Sauchiehall Street too. Bar Buddha is the original, right in the heart of the financial district and popular with good–looking sorts who appreciate its hint of eastern promise and a cheeky cocktail menu. Downstairs there's an intimate little club, so you need not leave the Buddha's clutches until the early hours if so desired. One can see the Sex & The City gals drinking here – when they were young and irresponsible – and the show was funny – until Samantha got asked to leave for copping off in the gents.
