Tchai Ovna
Tchai Ovna, a Czech–inspired den, deserves a hearty slap on the back and a 20p tip for providing a haven amidst the West End's commercial coffee scene. Unsurprisingly then, this break–from–the–norm café sells tea – over fifty blends from around the globe – we recommend the enchantingly named African Goddess. – No scones with clotted arteries here, but fruit tobacco available to smoke through an amazing wooden pipe. There are jam sessions on a Thursday night – the musicians get their tea free – and there's even astrology on order for those who can't decide what flavour to have. Popular with students –the ones who like tea, that is.
