We don't know if the name's a reference to the fact it's almost in the River Kelvin or a comment on the best way to invest your savings, but Offshore trendy café is a good place to burn your tongue on a coffee then make yourself feel better with a chocolate brownie. The comfy sofas offer good vantage points to watch West End folk go about their suitably West End lives. The friendly vibe is in part due to the students from nearby Glasgow Uni, but the occasional older bookworm should keep those over 25s in good company. The music's good, if eclectic, and there's Internet access in the basement for visiting those Carole Vorderman sites. Not that we're accusing you of anything.
