Entertain yourself in the queue of Braehead Arena by staring through the window of Pizza Hut like Oliver Twist at suppertime. Once in though, you may wish you'd actually gone to Pizza Hut or stayed home with a musical about orphans. Braehead Arena is like a nuclear air–raid shelter with acoustics akin to being in the belly of a whale – this is not a good thing. – Still, it manages to attract the likes of Oasis and Beyonce so it must have amazing dressing rooms. £15–£80
