Leading the backlash against flock wallpaper and velvet paintings, Mr Singh's India is a vision of modern lines and mirrored walls, complete with kilt–wearing staff –you may need to glance at the menu to remind you were you really are. Slamming the door firmly in the face of post–pub curry shovelling, this is Indian at its most upmarket. Although the trendy tables and towering napkins can be a tad overpowering, it's a refreshing change to enjoy your meal without the background noise of a chanting rugby team.
