Centre For Contempoarary Art (CCA)

CCA has six arts spaces over three levels with the technical capability to accommodate a variety of layouts and artistic transformations and events. CCA:1 contains the main information point and box office and is an ever-changing shop-window for everything that CCA is about. CCA:2 is normally used for visual art and sound projects and can be used alone or with CCA3. CCA:3 is the principal exhibition space. CCA:4 has a capacity of 74 and is acoustically isolated, forming the perfect environment in which to show artists' screen based work and video as well as being used as a lecture theatre for meetings, talks and debates. CCA:5 is housed on the first floor in the Georgian Villa and has a capacity of up to 200. With a state-of-the-art customised net, for lighting and rigging, this space has been designed to create the perfect environment for spoken word, performance, live art and music. CCA:6 is situated on level 3 of the building and is designed as a rehearsal room and workshop space where artists from all disciplines will be encouraged to experiment.
