The Halt Bar
A sea of dark wood and very typical gold lettering mark the exterior that is The Halt. Being quite near the Charring Cross end, this is a handy hop from the city centre. There's plenty to entice the avid pubber here, with a packed entertainment schedule. Live bands Fri-Sat 8.30-12, while Sunday sees the pub quiz for those feeling rather more competitive. With pints at £1.50 11-6 weekdays and all Tuesday, live soccer and a laid back feel, it's home from home.
