Cottiers
Is it a pub? Is it a restaurant? Is it a theatre? Is it somewhere to watch the football? Well actually it's all four. Housed in an old church in a West End residential area, as you'd expect many of the original church like trimmings remain. Offering a damn fine Friday pub night out, with a predominantly young crowd, many of the customers are locals, but not overly studenty. An open beer garden area at the front makes this a safe bet for a hangout on a good day. With homemade burgers at 1/2 price Mon–Sat 5–7, there are no excuses for leaving early for a bite to eat after an afternoon session or alternatively head down for the Sunday lunchtime brunch breakfast.
