Warning: don't read this if you're hungry.

Feature

Whether you’re a student, working, parent or unemployed, everyone loves a fry-up breakfast... and Itchy is no exception to the rule. This is why we’ve decided to list the Top 5 fry-ups in Cardiff for your eating pleasure.

Ramons 64 Salisbury Road, CF24 4AD
Starting from only £2.10 for a ‘Small Breakfast’ and going up to the ‘Great Gut Buster’ (don’t worry they do Veggie too), the small prices for huge portions make this place great value for money. With a beer garden for the when the weathers nice and plenty of inside seating for when it’s raining (this is Cardiff after all) it’s a popular spot all year round. Be warned though, make sure you don’t have to be anywhere for a little while after you’ve eaten, Itchy’s favourite, the ‘Special Breakfast’ for £4.10 with drink included will fill you up for the day and leave you waddling home. Plus, apparently Robert De Niro’s been there - Celeb-tastic.

Coffi House Rendevouz 3 Wellfield Road, CF24 3NZ
Perfect if you’re looking for a quieter all day breakfast, a little further out of town past Albany road, this independent café boasts friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere to nurse your hangover or just enjoy your lazy morning.  Prices are reasonable and the inside is cutely decorated, the quintessential greasy-spoon café. Itchy recommends taking a stroll around the pretty Roath park which is two seconds away to walk off the indulgence.

Café Calcio 145 Crwys Road, CF24 4NH
A much more American choice of café - waffles and syrup are a favourite on the menu, next to the reasonably priced fry-up. It’s a quirky and busy atmosphere with friendly staff and good grub. Just up the road from Woodville road in the busy student area of Cathays, it’s a nice little get away on a busy morning.

The Pot Café 138 Crwys Road, CF24 4NR
With a variety of breakfasts, the full English at £5.50 and a great vegetarian menu, this very cute, kitch café is the perfect setting for a romantic breakfast or the start to a lazy weekend. They have a huge menu with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options and also welcome your own suggestions for the menu should you not find anything to your taste. There are often live music events to accompany your evening meal and everything, including prices, can be found on their website.

CF10 Café Cardiff Student’s Union, Park Place, CF10 3QN
Despite being in the union, this place isn’t just for students. Itchy recommends CF10 Café to anybody looking for a super cheap and super tasty breakfast. If you’re more in the market for relaxed and cosy, this may not be the place for you but if you want quick, easy and cheerful, this is the place to go. It can also be rented out for private events and holds comedy nights throughout the year.

Itchy says GO FORTH AND EAT BREAKFAST! Race ya.
